      Aloha Toni
I am so happy that you’ve checked out our awesome class website. Thanks to our computer wiz, Harvey Chin.
Our next celebration, 65th B-day, to be held in Hawaii, 2014. Small group of classmates met for one meeting to start planning.
Keep checking the website for updates.
I hope that you can come home for this get together……..it’s been way too long.
Please take care of yourself, be safe & stay healthy
with plenty of love & aloha

    Aloha
Our CHS 67 had a small kind get together
to welcome home Stephanie Ishikawa Murakoshi. Stephanie’s two children still live in Hawaii, so she comes home often.
If this get together was some indication of the many classmates that will attend the reunion……then we should have good participation. In attendance, Lenore Boynton, Irene Ige, Corine Yokote, myself, Michael & Jo Len, Henry Makua, Gordon Fujimoto, Dennis Kaneshiro, Greg Tsuda & Leonard Galderia.

Now other, news……..SAD news, Our classmate, our friend & sista, Davelyn Apao Kawahakui, passed away Sept. 29,2011. Davelyn has been going thru long illness with diabetes.
I will always remember Davelyn as being that pretty chinese/hawaiian girl that was
    very kolohe…..& good fun.
    We will miss you………
    luv u
    ella

    Aloha Knights of 67,

Its been some time, didn’t realize our 60th came and went. Vegas for 45th and Hawaii for 50th I’ll be there, God willing. Banquet, slots, bowling and I like the go-cart idea, (I think I can fit in it) all sound like a winner. Here’s a great idea – we can have a swimsuit contest, we just gotta find the right pool that can accomodate us young at hearts at no extra charge, hahaha!

Although there is no guarantees, let me know in whatever I can help with. I have been undergoing chemo for the past 9 months and no end in sight. The cancer has been resistant to the chemo so I just ingest all the poisons and await for the next cocktail.

I was saddened to hear about Lloyd’s passing, my prayers go out to his Ohana. A hui hou malama pono.

  • Stan Reyes

    Hi Linda,
Thank you for your consideration on the dates. Of course I’ll be there. The last time was a blessing to see everbody that attended. We had so much fun and can’t wait 2 have more fun. C U all soonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

  • Linda S.

Vegas for the 45th and back Hawaii for the 50th, I am in to.

  • Stanley Reyes

Sounds like a plan for our 45th (Vegas) & 50th (HI)reunion. Can’t wait to see you all and having fun. I just have a suggestion for the Vegas dates 17,18,19 Feb. weekend the (20th) Monday is President Day holiday. If possible try to change the dates to week before or after so we can get better room rates and airfare. Just food for thought. Hope to see everyone soon.
    Aloha,
    Stan

    • Linda Higa Nyman

hi stan, good point, i didn’t realize that the fares differed like that.
we will definitely look at other dates of that is the case. thanks for
bringing it up. so you’re coming, right?? just kidding.

we hope to get many more suggestions, comments, ideas on this
      site. aloha!

    • Linda Higa Nyman

ANNOUNCING: 45TH REUNION OF THE CASTLE KNIGHTS CLASS OF 1967
    FEBRUARY 17, 18, 19 2012
CALIFORNIA HOTEL & MAIN STREET HOTEL
    LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

Details to follow on this website.

    • Greg Tsuda

Okay, sorry but got to plan to leaving on Sunday to make the Great Aloha Run on Monday.
At least getting up at 4:30 in the morning won’t be too hard because it would be 6:30 in Vegas. Got to check into how to get my running packet. Normal pickup is on Friday thru Sunday.

  • Greg Tsuda

Hospitality Room would be nice, but if not then have a designated time to meet at the Triple 7 Bar & Grill to talk story and mingle. Definately a banquet, Saturday evening.
Bowling and the slot tournament were fun group activity. Is there someplace we can go as a group to do something? Road trip to somewhere; up in the mountains for lunch? Is there anything to do at Lake Mead as a group?

    • Harv

Greg, some good ideas. Ever been to the Nevada State Park “Valley of Fire“? Beautiful scenic location with nice picnic tables for a lunch. Small entry fee for each car, about 60 min drive from Cal. This might workout if we have enough cars and interest.

      • Greg Tsuda

No, haven’t been to the Valley of Fire.
Just trying to think of something that we can do as a group.

  • Linda Higa Nyman

    THANKS FOR THE GOOD RESPONSE!!

CORRECTION: JANICE AND I will be heading up the committee and
will notify all of you on how you can help.

Hello all. Janice Chin will start the ball rolling on organizing the 45th
in Las Vegas. We are looking at February 18 2012 weekend.

If you all want to help–start rallying your friends and get the momentum going. we had a great time at the 60th birthday so we will have an even better time at the 45th!!

  • Kimo Dickson

Vegas, sounds fun. Let me know the date, I’m open to it. Haven’t seen many of the class in ages. Mahalo for this site.

  • Greg Tsuda

Okay…..Las Vegas for the 45th Class Reunion.
California / Main Street would be “headquarters”.
    When in 2012? Any suggestions?
I just got back a couple of weeks ago and the weather was beautiful. Personally, summer is too hot. Prefer Spring or Fall. Although last March was cold! But, cannot predict what the weather is going to be next year. So, when?
Get together for dinner is obvious, but what else can we do? Bowling again? Got Sam’s Club or the Orleans. Slots tournament, again? Go carts track?
    We need ideas……
    Greg

    Aloha kakou!

I choose VEGAS cause there’s alot of exciting things to do, chance to WIN, lots of foods, music & whatever you need. For us island people, believe it or not, it cost more to go to Oahu than Vegas PLUS get too many family that can bother me on Oahu, hee, hee. Let me know what I can do to help!

    Love & Aloha,

    CHS class of 67″
45th reunion is right around the corner..
MY vote, VEGAS!!!! eh, Wayne Smith
put your dancing shoes on…ha ha ha

We maybe able to collect social security, but
our class still can party/dance, that’s
    how we roll.
    ella

  • Greg Tsuda

    Aloha!
I’ve received a number of emails whose senders are very supportive and they are willing to help. Most of the emails that I have received support Vegas for the 45th and the 50th, if we are still around, definitely back home in Hawaii. One suggestion was a beach party.
About 60 of us made it to the 60th Birthday Bash, but short of the 125 plus at the 40th Class Reunion.
We should still have about $1,000.00 to kick start the planning and cover initial expenses.
Need to get a committee together and pick a date so that the planning can begin.
    Greg

  • Cynthia Kee

Vegas for the 45th and Hawaii for the 50th – I’m in.

  • Linda Miller Bruder

45th in vegas and 50th at home sounds good to me, too. omg, 2012 is almost here. time goes by way too fast now-a-days. hope to see lots of us at the 45th. can’t wait! milla

  • Harv

Ella, based on some emails I have seen, it looks like most want it to be in Vegas for the 45th and back at home for the 50th. Would be good if others could comment here to see what others are thinking. Harv
